It is easy to worship God in a church sanctuary. It is much harder to worship Him while filing spreadsheets, dealing with a difficult boss, or navigating office gossip. We often divide our lives into "sacred" (Sunday) and "secular" (Monday–Friday). But for the believer, every square inch of the workplace is a mission field.

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV) — "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Your boss might sign your paycheck, but Jesus is your true Employer. This realization changes everything. It means we don’t work hard just to get a promotion; we work hard because our work is an offering to God. It means we don’t join in on the gossip because we represent a higher Kingdom.
Excellence is a form of evangelism. When you do your job with integrity and joy—even the boring parts—people notice. Your "cubicle" (or classroom, or job site) is the pulpit where you preach your most frequent sermons.
Today, perform one small task at work that no one will notice, but do it with the highest level of excellence as a secret gift to God.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the opportunity to work. Today, I dedicate my skills, my conversations, and my frustrations to You. Let my light shine in my workplace so that others see Your character in me. Amen.
