We live in a culture that worships the "hustle." From the moment the alarm goes off, our minds are racing toward the next task, the next email, and the next obligation. We often feel that our value is tied to our productivity. But even in the middle of a busy morning, Jesus is whispering your name, just as He did forMartha.

Luke 10:41-42 (NIV) — "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
Martha wasn't doing anything "sinful." She was serving! She was preparing a meal for the King of Kings. Her mistake wasn't her work; it was her distraction. She allowed the "many things" to blind her to the "one thing"—the presence of Christ right in her living room.
When we approach our day with a "Martha Heart," we become irritable, anxious, and resentful of others who seem to be resting. When we choose the "Mary Part," we realize that sitting at the feet of Jesus isn't a waste of time—it’s the fuel for everything else we have to do. Today, before you pick up your phone or your car keys, sit at His feet for just sixty seconds.
Identify the one task today that is causing you the most anxiety. Surrender the outcome of that task to God right now.
Prayer
Lord, I confess that I often prioritize my "doing" over my "being." Help me to carry a "Mary Heart" into my "Martha World" today. Remind me that my worth is found in Your love, not my achievements. Amen.
